Trip breakdown /

Day 1 - Windhoek to Sossusvlei & Namib Desert

Begin your journey with a morning pickup in Windhoek or at the airport, heading south toward the breathtaking landscapes of Sossusvlei. Travel along the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass, one of Namibia’s most spectacular viewpoints, offering panoramic vistas of the vast desert below. Along the way, enjoy a stop in Solitaire, a charming desert oasis, perfect for a relaxing lunch before continuing your adventure into the heart of the Namib.

Day 2 - Soussusvlei

Set off before sunrise on a breathtaking 70 km drive through the Sesriem Gate, heading into the heart of Sossusvlei—home to the world’s tallest sand dunes, recently recognized as the UNESCO-listed 'Sand Sea.' Experience the magic of dawn as you climb the iconic Dune 45, where the endless waves of orange dunes stretch as far as the eye can see. After soaking in the panoramic views, venture deeper on a 4x4 trail to the surreal Dead Vlei, a vast clay pan dotted with ancient, skeletal acacia trees frozen in time. Following lunch, explore the dramatic Sesriem Canyon, carved by centuries of erosion, before concluding the day with a sunset visit to the scenic Elim Dune.

Day 3+4 - Swakopmund & Atlantic Coast

After breakfast, the adventure continues with a scenic journey through the Namib-Naukluft Park, where rugged canyons and fascinating rock formations shape the landscape. The vast expanse of the Namib stretches endlessly, a mesmerizing backdrop teeming with wildlife. Keep an eye out for grazing oryx and springbok, mountain zebras, towering giraffes, and the world's largest flightless birds—ostriches. Along the way, celebrate a special moment as you cross the iconic Tropic of Capricorn, the perfect spot for a memorable photo. Before reaching Swakopmund, stop at Walvis Bay for a visit to the lagoon, where flocks of Greater and Lesser Flamingos, along with a variety of other bird species, gather in the nutrient-rich waters of the Benguela Current.

Day 5 - Skeleton Coast, Cape Cross & Damaraland

Traveling along the coastal salt road, we make our way 150 km north to Cape Cross and the impressive Cape Fur Seal colony. After witnessing these fascinating marine mammals in their natural habitat, we journey east into the desert landscapes of Damaraland, heading towards the majestic Brandberg Massif. As we pass through the region, we encounter traditional Damara villages and may spot wildlife including ostriches, jackals, hyenas, and springboks, adding to the allure of this rugged and beautiful terrain.

Day 6 - Twyfelfontein & Damaraland

Today, we explore the stunning Twyfelfontein rock engravings, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Africa’s largest concentrations of petroglyphs. With over 2,000 ancient carvings etched into the rust-colored rocks by the San people—indigenous inhabitants of the region—we’ll marvel at the intricate artwork that has stood the test of time. This remarkable site offers a profound glimpse into the spiritual and ritualistic practices of hunter-gatherer communities, providing a powerful link between their cultural and economic traditions in southern Africa.

Day 7-9 - Etosha National Park

Today, we embark on a journey to Etosha National Park, a wildlife sanctuary and one of Namibia’s greatest treasures. Renowned as one of Africa’s most beloved and visited game parks, Etosha welcomes us with its vast plains of shimmering white salt pans, home to an incredible array of wildlife. In the afternoon, we set out on a thrilling game drive, encountering an abundance of magnificent animals, including herds of antelopes, giraffes, and zebras, as well as the mighty elephants (the largest in Africa), rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas roaming freely through the bush. This is a true haven for wildlife enthusiasts.
